What treats, do Yorkies really like? - Page 3 - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Harley loves a lot of human food (you know the things they're allowed to have) he eats veggies and what fruit he's allowed to have, and BOY does he LOVE fish. what I can't find is a treat that I can store in treat pouches and baggies that doesn't go bad... ugh like last week I made baggies with some half cooked carrots (he doesn't like them raw) and well it worked for a few days but the stuff all turned to mush in the baggie I forgot in the fridge.

I e-mailed the Yorkie Yummie person, maybe it wont cost too much to ship to Canada. He likes those soft and chewy milkbone treats, but gosh are those bad for them... (he's on a grain free diet, so I hate giving him those)

mine likes carrots. But I buy beef heart from the butcher and make them them dehydrated jerky. Don't buy store treats.

Seeing I have him on a grain free diet, I'm also looking for some sort of recipe that will be a softer chewy treat if anyone knows of any...

A lot of recipes have flour in it... does that count as a grain? (I know dumb question), it's just he really eats his poo when eating grain foods, (yes we're already on a pineapple regiment)

Did you see my post? These "Canz Real Meat" dog treats and soft and just two ingredients. And they come in all kinds of flavors, chicken, venison, beef, etc. They are soft and broken apart really easily.. great for training.

I have spent so much money on treats that my Abby will not eat...some stores will give you your money back but many won't. She has enjoyed the little liver treats and she loves carrots but she is not big on fruit.

NOPE... lol I have a horrible head cold, I really shouldn't be permitted to type in this condition, lol... I think I looked at them, I"ll see if I can get them in my neck of the woods. I just ordered some Yorkie Yummies too, they look good.

yeah I've donated many a package to the shelter, becuase Harley wont eat store stuff. he likes anything soft. So that's my mission. I think I really also need to go get a dehydrator, I hear they're cheap at walmart...

I can't find them on Amazon.ca, I tried googling, but in my state, I can't function well. Do you know the original company site, maybe I can find someone who either sells them here, or can ship here.

I found this site, Canz Real Meat Jerky Dog Treats

And don't worry, I have a terrible cold right now, I've got bronchitis on top of it!! Ughh! Not sure if shipping would be worth it to Canada, but they are def. good treats, Jackson goes crazy for them. He did not like Yorkie Yummies at all.

He only likes soft and meaty treats, and they were tiny but hard and crunchy.

I don't bother with a dehydrator. I use my oven on a really low setting. One less appliance to gather dust between uses.

They also like the Cesar gourmet treats
They are not too fond of the cookie type treats, but they do love the Honey's Bakery treats. I got them some Claudia's Canine Cuisine cookies (made by the same people as Honey's Bakery) but they are a little big so I have to cut them into 4 pieces.

Oh - I forgot to include those jerky treats that he gets from Sugarmamma.

Yeah shipping will probably up the cost substantially, I've decided that I'm just going to have to start making treats.. lol if you can smell the smoke... it's coming from my kitchen (YIKES) lol

I came from a household that didn't do much in the way of adventurous cooking. My whole first year of marriage was spent with my husband joking that I used the smoke detector in our apartment as my kitchen timer.
