Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Ok i NEED HELP... Izzy has become VERY possessive over any treat and bone etc... It's so bad that even though all 3 little dogs have their bones, Izzy always bullies them to get the other bones.. I'm talkin like "scrappin" for them.. she is awful when it comes to this.. Does anyone have any ideas for keeping this from happening again... I don't want then fighting over treats.. I would like to be able to feed them treats in peace and have them enjoy them instead of trying to eat them fast so the other will not steal it

| Try separating Izzy from the rest with an xpen or baby gate when you give chews or treats. With chew bones, you could also try sitting with her and holding the chew so that she learns that you are the keeper and you decide when to take it away. At the same, train her to "drop it" and "leave it." I had to do this with Max because he is possessive of Texas Toothpicks and other chew bones. My other boy Teddy likes to have his bones and chase Max for his, but I don't worry too much because it is more of an enjoyable game to them.

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have four adult dogs and one puppy i feed treats daily (not all yorkies) And if they do not all sit and wait no one gets a treat. This works great they know when its there turn and they all wait. I have no fights this way either. With bones if one seems to hoard them i make them share and show them they will get it back but must share. It takes time to teach but so worth it. good luck |
