| Snickers lost a baby tooth about 4 months ago...not sure how old he was, as he was rescued as a stray, but I'm guessing somewhere between 1-1.5 years. It suddenly turned gray and then just fell out one day. I questioned my vet about pulling the other retained canine, (which has no sign of also turning gray, as of yet), but Snickers has had so many health problems with his MVD since we've had him that the vet said he was not concerned with it at this point and just wanted to get him stable and we'd look at it again in the future. I brush his teeth everyday and I try to keep an eye on things as much as possible. His teeth don't look bad or crowded and he doesn't appear to have pain. Although, I will want to have it done, if it can be done safely with his condition, whenever we can. I am sooo nervous about him going under for any reason because of his liver disease (and being quite small is always a concern as well). |
