| Question about our yorkie Our Yorkie female was trained to do her business(poop and pee) on paper in a pet cage, she has been pretty good about doing this except for recently. She is still religious about peeing in the cage, but she is not pooping in there as much, she usually poops in the living room on the carpet. How can we get her to poop in the cage more religiously? She is i year two months old. |

YT Addict | most dogs won't pee or poop in there space...so not sure if I miss read this or that is really what your wanting to do? Mine pees and poops on his several pee pads around the house. When he is in his crate, which is not that often he has never done his business in there. |

| This is not the crate she sleeps in, but a separate cage that we put papers in, just for peeing and pooping. |

| You may try putting some of her poop in the cage on the papers. This works like a charm for me. |

| Some dogs, like my Lady, won't poop and pee in the same place. You may have to provide a separate area for her to poop. |

| How big is this cage you expect her to poop in and how long are you leaving her in the cage? Have you tried training her to go on potty pads? Some dogs need exercise and running around to stimulate them to potty. You can't expect them to just go when you want them to.

| I agree. I've never had one that would do both in the same area.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | My experience aI have found the best, I mean the very best, is to walk the babies at least two times a day. That will stimulate them to potty (both). Sometimes I get to walk them 3 times a day, although not very often. It doesn't have to be far, just at regular times.
