Post it. It should be good for education purposes. |
When I first fell in love with the Yorkshire terrier 15 yrs ago...a friend of mine had a 10 lb girl and that was what I wanted, what I got was a 5.5 lb girl Bailey RIP I never had any health issue with her at all she was very healthy for almost 15 years and back than I had no computer or internet I got VERY lucky when I got Bailey...when I went on the search for Bella 2 1/2 yrs ago I was shocked  at all the health issues LP, CT, LS and many more...I did know about CT cause the breeder did tell me not to use a collier but a harness...but the further I went with my search I started finding teacup/tinie Yorkies...and I was like WTH is a teacup/tinie yorkie. I just want a normal standard Yorkie  and found there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie again I was shocked  that people would use that term just to get more money (greedy) pure and simple. I learned about the scams, people emailing me saying they have a pup for me and all I would have to do is pay for the shipping cost to get my pup...I never fell for it and still don't understand how people do ...1. don't you wanna see your pup in person and hold him/her. 2. seeing both parents. 3. seeing how your pup was raised (clean) 4. the most important one that your pup is healthy. There are so many people out there calling our babies teacups and getting big bucks for them it just pi**es me off ...I hate it when someone looks at my babies and say oh they are soo cute are they teacups eeeeeeeee...I don't care if its rude or not I just state a fact. I look at them and say...a teacup is something you drink from these are my dogs and they are Yorkshire Terriers. I would NEVER buy from any breeder that breeds for tinies or put teacup/tinies in front of yorkie. I prefer 5 lbs and up. |
Please post the pictures and other information. I'd love to see them. Did you know you can post a picture to TinEye Reverse Image Search and do a reverse image search? I've used this before to see if the picture I was sent was stolen off the web from someone else. ;) Or, when I just "knew" I'd seen the picture on someone's site somewhere else. Teresa |

That's a really cool tool. Sure beats trying to manually search for pic. |
While it possible that this could be a scam, and they aren't selling any puppies, and no dogs are being abused, it's also very possible that these dogs are being bred in Korea. China is another place that has opened large scale breeding facilities. There was an article a few months back on YT about our government making laws rulings against the importation of dogs, but they could only rule on how the dog could be shipped to this country, not on the facilities in other countries. Another reason we should always visit the breeders house in person. |
Doesn't it make you scratch your head and wonder why they specify the dog can be flown in to a Missouri airport? I'm sure then there is an extra "fee" to get the dog from Missouri to San Fransisco. LOL. Oh, BTW, if you want to, in addition to flagging the ad, you can hit the "contact us" button at the bottom of the page and report your concerns to Craigslist in more detail than the flagging does. Make sure you put the ad ID in the form. |

I frankly find that dog disgusting. So sickly and unhealthy looking. Why on earth anyone would purposely seek out or breed a dog under 3lbs just baffles my mind. Why not just get a hamster, or a guinea pig (who is actually probably bigger than 3lbs). I mean, seriously. The dog is basically going to have to live in a 'cage' all of its life anyways, and by that I mean being sheltered from a normal world. I'm not for anyone purposely breeding for these small dogs. I even wish the Yorkie standard would be raised to 10lbs so we wouldn't see so many of the tinies. It's unfair really. A 2lb dog does NOT get to live a normal dog life and I think that's unfair. I understand things happen and sometimes a breeder will get a small dog, but responsible breeders will usually keep them, or find a super safe responsible home for them. It just makes me so sad that we as HUMANS did this to these dogs... they didn't choose to be that tiny, and had they had a choice, I'm sure they would opt to be a little bigger. A 6-7lb dog is still VERY small... but they are still atleast sturdier and more able than a 2-3lb dog. |

Your Puppy has a 1 Year Health Guarantee!; Your puppy will be checked by a licensed veterinarian prior to being shipped. You will receive a health certificate along with proof of vaccines and wormings. To qualify for a refund or a replacement animal, a consumer must obtain a veterinary certification that the animal is unfit within fourteen business days of the purchase, and return the pet to the seller within three business days of obtaining this certification. The buyer is responsible for future vaccinations and wormings. The puppy will be registered with papers. The buyer must provide the puppy with routine preventative care, such as, vaccines, annual physical examinations by a licensed vet and follow the given guidelines for vaccinations and de-wormings. All puppies need to be on heart worm prevention. A puppy showing any serious genetic or congenital defect that is life threatening will be replaced as follows: The puppy must show the defect by one year of age and be examined by a veterinarian. We must be notified at once, in writing, by the vet. Our vet will interpret the report and if he concurs, then a replacement puppy will be given of equal or greater value and shipping cost will be the responsibility of the buyer. Also, any puppy with a defect must be returned in good condition other than the specific problem at the cost of the buyer or euthanized with the prior permission from us to qualify for a replacement puppy. No refund in part or in full will be given. You are covered under this guarantee for replacement only. We do not give refunds. We will not be responsible for any medical expenses occurred. Buyer is responsible for transportation cost to and from us on a replacement puppy. This guarantee applies to the original puppy owner only and is not transferable to a second party. You will have full breeding rights. No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been bred, spayed, neutered, or altered in any way, or euthanized without our written permission. A replacement puppy will be of comparable bloodlines. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the same exact parents of the original puppy. There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors for example: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, Demodectic mange and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered by this guarantee. We guarantee a healthy companion puppy. Puppies are like children, they are susceptible to pneumonia and other infections due to drafts, cold temperature, ect. No guarantee is given against parasites such as worms, cherry eye, coccidiosis, or giardia, parvo, corona, distemper, kennel cough, upper respiratory infections and pneumonia. Puppies have all been vaccinated and are in excellent health prior to shipping. We are not responsible for any future surgeries such as hernias, ect. Some puppies have umbilical cord hernias. We will not have small umbilical cord hernias removed as advised by our vet, because these hernias usually go away on their own. Puppies are guaranteed against HIP Dysplasia for 1 year. Hip Dysphasia guarantee is void if puppy is kept on chain or cable, or used for breeding purposes before 1 year of age. Several other factors to remember: Diet, not too much exercise "no long walks before 2 years of age, no "jogging", no breeding under 1 year of age, no being kept on a cable or chain. We must see the X-ray of your puppy before a replacement puppy is given. Take your puppy to an expert on hip x-rays, it can make all the difference. If your dog isn't held perfect during x-rays, you will have a false x-ray reading and we will not replace your puppy. That is very common for the vet to mistake an x-ray if your dog isn't held still and perfect, and the same dog with a different x-ray will pass if held correctly. This is why your vet is so important. Make sure you choose the right vet in this matter. All our puppies are weaned on Science Diet or Eukanuba puppy small bites puppy food. If there is a problem, we must be contacted immediately and the problem must be verified by our own veterinarian. This contract is null and void if the terms and conditions are not fulfilled and met. |
