| Just a Yorkie question... reply! I live with my dad and I go to school and he goes to work. Normally he leaves for work at 6.30 AM and I leave for school around 7.00 AM. Since we don't want Autumn home alone for so long (I'm the first to return... around 4.15'ish) We have a friend try and stop by every day around noon so she can go out side, have somebody to be with, and have someone to set her food out. When she is alone we keep a baby gate up that seperates some of the house that allows Autumn to roam wherever she may want to go through out the kitchen, dining room, and laundry room/ entrance way. I was wondering if it would be a good thing to leave a tv running or even the radio that way she is used to the sounds of someone talking instead of just silence? Or is this not a good idea? |

| I leave cartoon network on for my 2 when I'm at work. Animal planet would have too many animal sounds and they would go crazy. |

| We always leave t.v. on for Logan. We used to leave on animal planet, but realized they were showing the same shows over and over again. He likes cartoons, so cartoon network or disney channel. And we recently got movie challenges so we've been leaving movies on for him. He really gets into action movies.

| Absolutely. I have ALWAYS left a tv on for my dogs. I usually put it on the movie channels. I autotune it to the movies I like. Like today Matise is watching Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason and Meet the Fockers. I would go crazy if I had to sit home all day in silence, so I don't want Matise to go crazy.

| The music on the radio makes some doggies nervous. TV is best. I think it only helps because it helps to drown out outside noises that may scare them, but I don't think it's a necessity.

| I read here that a lot of people do that...but where I keep my dog he cant see the TV. I was going to leave it on, but then my boyfrend was like what if he hears it and thinks that it is us just keeping him cooped up and leaving him alone...so we just dont leave anything on.....is that bad?

| I leave the TV on for my 2 when I'm gone. They seem to like Nickelodean.

| We leave the radio on for ours. We are always listening to the radio so they are very use to the sounds of music. They actually do better with it than the TV.

| Have you guys heard of DogCatRadio.com? I saw it on the news in the last few days. Apparently they play "pet friendly" music and sounds. I haven't checked it out yet....maybe I'll do that now...anyway-my only problem is it's on the internet only and my computer is not in the room that my dogs stay during the day. I guess I could move my laptop in, but doesn't the screen saver pop on after a time? hmmmmm....I will have to discover the answers and let you know!
