| His Ears! So cute but... My lil Jager's ears are so cute, but so uneven....When he is looking straight up at me, they both flop back, but when he is in normal stance, one is always down. Its been this way for a while! I dont really know anything about "taping the ears," but really, I would rather not (I place enough on his head and neckline already--He never minds dressing up! hehe). He is 4 months, though has grown faster than normal compared to his parents...is this natural? Whats an alternative??

| My babies' ears pop up after they are trimmed. The hair weighs it down, so I have to 'tip' them every 4 to 6 weeks so they stay up. Tia has a big problem with hers because of her soft cotton coat. It is so thick. |

| Thing is...this is RIGHT after his haircut (he just had them trimmed down pretty low two days ago). ...No biggie?

| I can't tell from the picture if the top part of his ear is shaved/trimmed from the picture. Do you know if they did that? |

| Well they are PRETTY close...I dont think it would be feasible to cut closer than what they are. I mean, has anyone else's pup taken a long time to have both ears raised evenly? I mean more than a few weeks....

| If you don't want to tape them, just let them be, if it is natural for one to flop down, so be it- he is adorable I have one whose both ears flop- she is adorable that way and I chose to never tape them.

| At 4 months old he could be teething. I know when my boys were around that age (especially Neo) their ears were always flopping around. Something about the teething process makes the ears go limp for awhile, but after they're all in, the ears will perk up again like nothing happened. |

| You can have them shave the upper half or third of the ear and that would take the weight off and give them a chance. Plus, he will be teething now and they will go up and down. Shaving will just help them to stand though.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Ears My Bailey had one ear just like that. I trimed it up and it came right up. However when it grows back in it still droups. She is adorable both ways. Gotta love em for who they are. |

| Wow Bailey is super cute!! Aww! Thanks for the responses...Yes, he is definitely teething...Poor thing. I feel so bad because I know he can't help how much he is biting and chewing everything, but he is still a good boy and stops anytime I say stop it. As for the ears, yes, I can see what you are saying now. Although, I wouldnt have minded them to be down forever--so he can stay my lil innocent angel! :-)

| Removing the hair on a pup's ears will not make them stand up. I see that written a lot, but it really is not true. One of my fosters that came to me at 3 months had one ear up and one ear down. One day when she was almost 6 months old, the ear suddenly stood up. I was told it probably was delayed due to teething.
