| Yay for collar and tags - returned dog back to owner I got home today around 1pm, I had Jackson with me. So I let him sniff around and potty and then we went inside the house. 10 minutes later, he's freaking out at the front door barking which was odd, so I went over and see a little white dog at the front door! I quickly opened up the door and let the dog in, he came right in (because Jackson was there). He was super friendly, pretty matted fur but he had a little coat on, I assumed he must belong to someone. So I lured him with some food, he was a bit scared of me, but Jackson and him immediately started playing! I called the number on his tag/collar and the owner answered, and came to my house within 15 minutes to pick up the dog! This is why I am SO for collars and tags. Had the dog not had a tag on, it would have been such a bigger ordeal for me to find it's owner, and I have a feeling he was not microchipped because the dog was not neutered. I was on my way out the door so I would have had to kept the dog at my house before I had a chance to get it to the vet, etc. So thankful for tags and collars!! Also... I wonder if this was a sign for me to get another dog ... his name was Jack. And Jackson was SO happy. It was so awesome to see him so happy to have a buddy (even if it was only for 25 minutes) and he openly welcomed him into his home and they were playing and wrestling and he was so sad when he left... LOL. Maybe it was a sign. Anyways, here's some pics!

| Thank goodness the dog had tags on and could be returned!! There is a dog on the street behind us who always gets loose. So my next door neighbor and I got the owners phone number and we keep the dog with us and call his owner to come and get him when he gets out. Good thing the dog comes right to us! |

| I am also very pro-tags and my two are never without them unless they are being bathed. I want to do any and everything I can to get them back to me should they ever run off. I'm glad to hear Jack got back to his family

| :Oh Brit...This might be a sign. Jackson would love to have a playmate. I am glad everything worked out and you were able to find the owner. I always keep tags on mine as well. We have the "microchip" tag to call the company and we also have the name and street address tag...either way with hopes that they would get home safe and sound.

| I'm glad you could find Jack's owner! Tags are awesome. Levi has the same little jacket that Jack is wearing. And I'm sure Jackson would love a brother! Sounds like he had a nice little playdate.

| I completely agree about the ID tags. The same thing happened to me about two months ago and we had to drive to the animal shelter because he did not have any tags, and he was also not microchipped. If it weren't for the fact that the owner called in 5 minutes within us being there, we wouldn't have been able to return the dog that same day! |

| I think it is a sign! Time for a playmate for Jackson! Or maybe you could even start scheduling playdates with little Jack for now?

| Glad there was a happy ending to this story. yes, I think it is a sign as well. Maybe you could adopt a Yorkie who is around 3-5 yrs old for a play mate.

| What a great story, I love happy endings. I also think it is sign that Jackson would be very open to the idea of having a brother or sister |
