![]() Every time he tries to bite something he shouldn't- say NO very firmly and hand him a toy he CAN play with. They have some toys (you can get them at petco/ petsmart) that you can freeze to help with teething.

OP -- Please get some Nutrical -- if you ever notice your puppy the lest bit listless, rub some on her gums immediately. Low blood sugar will be your enemy. Have food available at all times -- a good premium puppy food -- none of the grocery store stuff. I would augment the food with a little goat's milk every day. As prev. poster said, most are still getting to nurse at 6 weeks! You can also give a little yogurt. May God be with your puppy.

| ![]() The OP Ritz added a correction - the pup is 8 weeks old. Still not the ideal situation, but better.

Are you having the dog go on pads? At least until the puppies shots are complete, I would keep him inside at all times (except to go to the vet obviously). You do have to be careful about hypoglycemia- read the symptoms of it and watch for them. What I did when my baby was young (she also came home too young) was keep kibble available at all times to snack on and then I gave her canned food a few times a day to make sure she was really eating something throughout the day. Do you have a crate or expen set up? Whenever you can not watch him carefully I would contain him in one of these, so that he does not get hurt. The vet will be better able to tell you how healthy your little guy is- good luck!

| ![]() It's good to be concerned and to watch over your pup closely, and feel free to ask questions here. It's good that you will be going to the vet tomorrow for a wellness check. Another good thing to do is to have emergency vet numbers and driving directions handy.
