| At home remedies for sick yorkie? My yorkie is not feeling well...she plays hard and sleeps well, but her poop is runny. REALLY runny. Is this a normal gastrointestinal upset? It has been a complete liquid about 4 times in a 2 day period. She is 5 months old. I read in an online article (askthevet.com i think??) about giving medication at home to dogs...they said peptobismol was okay to give, as well as other meds, and they gave a certain equation per medication (teaspoon per 10 pounds dog weight, etc.) DO you guys have any at home remedies??? |

| That's what I always gave Muffin when she was sick. It worked well. Kacee, so far anyway, is never sick. Also, sometimes I could give her half a tums for upset tummy if she wasn't really sick and she was ready to go in no time. Otherwise, I used the pepto.

| I normally use pepto bismol, but was told by a veterinarian that i saw when mine wasn't in, that 1/2 pepcid works well also! I hope your little one gets to feeling better really soon. Don't let this go on too long with her having dirarrhea. She may need something from the vet to get it stopped. Also mix boiled chicken and white rice together to feed her instead of her normal food. This many times helps bulk up things! Good Luck! |

| Make sure to give her Pedialyte Liquid Unflavored. It Quickly restores fluid and minerals lost in diarrhea and vomiting.also prevents dehydration. Plus fix her up a little white rice with boiled chicken in it. It will help her upset tummy. Good Luck. If shes not better Id take her to the vet. |
