| ![]() I recently adopted a Maltese. With my two, my Yorkie is very laid back and never makes a sound. My Maltese on the other hand is very opinionated! She is also built much more sturdy then my smaller Yorkie. Although there is only about 1lb difference in them my maltese looks much bigger. She has hair on top of hair! Grooming can be another factor to consider when choosing a dog. Right in there with health and temprament.There are those in each breed that may require more or less. Every pup is different. Mine do seem to get along well though.

| ![]() After having a light coated dog I was really looking forward to Ziva's darker coloring. I have not been dissapointed, she is a breeze to care for and always looks clean.I had considered a maltese and a coton but the white coat steered me away... |

| ![]() I agree! Fiona looks clean for at least a few days after her bath. It only takes a few minutes, living on a farm, for Eva to look like she was dunked in a mud puddle!
