| My yorkie's moustache always has food stuck in it, need help... My Maggie Moo pushes her food around in her dish when she eats. She's a messy eater, so therefore, since she eats wet food, she always has food stuck in her moustache. I try washing her face, doesn't seem to work at all, because I can't use soap and rinse it every time, it's hard to get the soap out if you don't do a full bath, and if I wash it with just water on a cloth the food doesn't come off. She's clipped a bit shorter on the face because of this, but it's STILL A disaster. I feed Merrick's Senior Medley, changing her food isn't an option for me. Does anybody have any thoughts on this. How do you handle dirty moustaches? |

| Hope I'm not duplicating this post This is the third time I've posted a reply, it isn't showing up, so if it shows up in duplicate, apologizing in advance. Here is a picture of my Maggie from my daily blow - you can see what her face looks like, maybe moustache was wrong choice of words. It's the either side of her mouth that gets gunked up. I was wondering if there was some special kind of dish that would help? I'm pretty desperate. Maggie is the love of my life. Oh, how lucky we are to have these sweet little fur kids... Here's the site for the pix... all the latest from heavensville...: Maggie Moo, it doesn’t get much cuter than this…. |

| Lol, John Jan, welcome to YT. You have a good question that I am sure you will get some help on. I feed dry kibble, but I can understand your frustration.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have that problem with Pixie. I feed them 2 meals of dry and 1 of wet. I have started hand feeding Pixie the wet food because she was getting her hair down her throat with the food. Even hand feeding her she still manages to get it stuck on her mustache. My other 3 don't have a problem with it. I don't know what else to do.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | You can try a dry shampoo to wash her face with after eating, or pet wipes. These don't have to be rinsed off like regular shampoo

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Or band the moustaches back, that combined with hand feeding could help with the food in the beard. And oh boy I do hear you on that. Still pet wipes etc, will also be necessary too. She is a beautiful girl.
