| Wondering why one of my yorkies doesn't get eye shine in pics? Not that I'm conplaining I'm just curious as to why it is when I take pics of my 2 boys, Bailey gets the eye shine in a lot of photos, Jesse's eyes always look black in photos, even in photos of them together when Bailey's eyes are glowing. Any idea why this is?

| Same here, Armani's eyes come out fine and Chloe always has these long yellow lights coming from her eyes- I just take it as proof that she is part devil |

| I've read that if a dog has a silky coat, the eyes will reflect green or blue in photos. With a cottony coat, supposedly they flash red. I know my Chloe has a silky coat and her eyes are always bright green in photos if I use the flash. Another possibilty is that maybe just by random chance, the same dog is never looking directly at the camera when you take the picture? -C

| Hmmm, I don't know, I just really paided attention to it when I was taking their Christmas pics, so many of them Bailey's had the greenish/yellow eye glow. Jesse had zero glow, and Jesse's coat is like pure silk, very strange. Just wanted to add, I knew about the eye shine in yorkies, the Green = Silky...Red = Cotton, I just thought it was unsual that Jesse had no eye shine in his pics

| Could it be you don't have the flash on automatic - don't know, just a guess. Without a flash maybe there's no eye shine. |

| Jamie's eyes glow yellow/ gold. I'm not really sure what kind of coat she has. I think it is combination since it is quite full but somewhat silky. For anyone else whose yorkie's eyes glow yellow or gold, what kind of coat does your dog have? |

| Nope, I've always had the flash on Bailey and Jesse will be in the photo together, and only Bailey gets the eyes shine!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Does Jesse have a cotton coat? Is it jet-black or is it the metallic gunmetal black?

| No Jesse's has a very silky coat, the black of his eyes will have a bluish hue in the center though, I just noticed on the pic below.

| I'm thinking that the smart widdle monkey doesn't look directly into the lens/flash. Princess always gets green monster eyes & I need to hold something to have her look away from the lens/flash. I think she actually likes it...the temporary couple of seconds of blindness! lol
