| For those with 2 or more... I find it interesting that when my 2 yorksters lay down on the floor or on a bed, they always are in parallel. I don't think I can remember them breaking this habit and lying perpendicular to each other; doesn't matter which way they are facing, towards a door or window. It just matters who was the first dog to lie down, and the second will match that orientation. I think that is because it’s less confrontational. Is this your experience? |

| I have not noticed this with my two. They just lay wherever... Whether it be on eachother, parallel or perpindicular.

| Hadn't thought about it before but, mine are normally in alignment (parallel) too. Even when one of the bodies is mine, we are still always in parallel alignment. Not big enough to really lie across each other I guess (well I am but they aren't)

| Well, mine are 2 years apart and although they get along well enough and like to play when they both have the energy, I think it might be different if they were littermates. The only time they touch when resting or sleeping is when they are in the car and there is no room for the doggy equivilant of "personal space" when not in lockdown in their carseats. At home when sleepy, its always in allignment with plenty of space between. Of course if its cold when we lower the heat they will curl up, but never together. On the other hand, they LOVE to be next to a human when trying to sleep |

| Mine were wombmates and they sleep any whichway. The newbies, once in awhile the sisters will fall asleep next to a newbie and that is any whichway as well. hmmm....

| Mine are almost thirteen months apart and sleep next to each other about fifty percent of the time. I haven't noticed a pattern though. I guess it depends where they are though. They seldom sleep on the bare floor (they like pillows/beds). If on the pillow together, they are bunched together. I just put a rug in front of the fireplace and caught them yesterday sleeping there; they were parallel. If I am involved, Ally has to be on the opposite side of me than Tia. Right now she is one the left and Tia is on the right. |

| Congratulations on the new addition to your family!! I missed your announcement. Don't worry, Dudley will come around and your kids will be snuggling before you know it. Max acted too cool to snuggle at first, but after a couple of months he allowed his little brother to cuddle up to him. |

| My boy loves his personal space but it is still parrallel to me. My little girl does not care. She lays on me, on him , or beside us.
