How much Sleep is TOO MUCH?

Kacee and I walk two miles. On the weekends, if it isn't too cold, we go twice and walk four miles. If I can do it, you can do it. Kacee lives for her walks and her play time!

Oh, you left that out of your original post! 4-6 walks a day is AWESOME! You can work on the play drive, but I wouldn't worry too much about the sleeping. Dogs do sleep a lot. And with all those walks, maybe it's just a well-deserved rest.

I agree, the multiple walks every day are awesome!

Maximo is like Quicksilver's Thor, he doesn't self-entertain much. If his humans aren't involved, he lies in his bed sleeping or waiting for something to happen. Wish he were more like Teddy who will play with toys on his own.

I also agree with Mike that doing activities at about the same time every day encourages the dog to look forward to it. My guys anticipate walks and play/training sessions the same way they do meal time.

Ok, thanks all. I'm going to start working on a schedule. Something to keep us both somewhat busy and active.

I try singing to him sometimes, but he isn't into that too much lol

It's all right to sing. I sing to Kacee all of the time and love to make up silly songs just for her! To become more active, maybe you could do some dancing, too.
