YT Addict | Advice Needed I never thought I would be having this particular problem. Our new baby Teddi just arrived Wed. night after I traveled to Texas to get him. We were all getting along great, n fact things were going very well. Unfortunately we had to bring him to our sitter last night (his 3rd day with us) because we had to work. We work nights because we are mucicians. After picking him up he would not kiss anymore though he did kiss the sitter goodbye. We are excellent parents and recently lost our 14 yr. old to complications from renal failure - we nursed him for 7 mos. So I though perhaps after a good night sleep and Teddi knowing that we are his family he would come around. He is coming around with my husband but still will not be close to me anymore. Do you think he will grow out of this as he gets used to our routine and spends more time with me? It is breaking my heart. He is very smart. He is 4 mos. old and already puts his toys in his bed, knows to go to bed when you tell him, walks on leash well and does give signals when he has to go potty. Amazing for 4 months really. Am just worrying needlessly?

| Zoey didn't give kisses for many months after we got her. She is 11 mos now and the kisses don't stop. Just give it time.

| Start obedience and trick training with Teddi. It's fun and a great way for you to bond with him. He will be all over you as soon as he figures out that Mommy gives him treats for sitting, shaking hands, going down, spinning... Relax and enjoy your pup and he will sense the good vibes from you. | We got Dink at about 4 months. He was very shy with us at first; he was especially timid with my hubby. I get nose kisses now every time I ask, and he loves his dad. We really did worry at first that he would be insecure and unstable, but now at 11 months, he is perfectly happy and secure. (Well, he does seem to be afraid of a stuffed snowman doll that I put out today, but we're working on that too. |
