| Pulling hair over face, strange, silly Ever since Cassie has become a part of our family, she has had a really strange habit. She is constantly pulling her hair in front of her eyes, so t covers her entire face. I mean, what's going on here, LOL? Does she wanna be Veronica Lake? This happens whether her hair is up in a top knot or down, without one. She just doesn't seem happy and will not stop until her entire beautiful face is totally covered by the hair she pulls over her head and over her face? Am I missing something? I mean, she is impairing her own vision, the hair gets dirty and wet when she eats and drinks, and she seems to love it. Anyone have any idea as to what is going on here? At first it was really funny, but this weird habit has become an obsession. Any thoughts? |

| Ellie does the same thing. She's not happy unless it's in her face covering her eyes. She tears out bows and refuses to wear them. I thought about cutting it, but I can't bring myself to do it.

| It is silly. I don't understand it at all. Do you remember the troll dolls, that you would shake them silly so that their hair would go every which way? Well, that's my Ellie. She loves messing up her beautiful combed hair, hates bows, and would rather look like a rag muffin. I can't explain it other than she has good hair days (right after grooming) and bad hair days (most of the time). I guess she's like me in that way.

| That is absolutely hilarious and really cute !! I've never heard this before. Mine can't stand her hair in her face. I say come get your scrunchie and she runs to me and can't wait for me to get it in. I don't use bands because they seem to damage her hair. I am afraid of barrettes because if one falls halfway out and we're not home it could scratch her eye or something. I only use small scrunchies for everyday wear and put a scrunchie with a bow sewn onto it for weekends. Anyway, I think it is cute what yours are doing. I cut my yorkie's bangs one time and will never do that again. I really like it long so I know what you mean when you say you can't bring yourself to cut it..... |

| Yes Vicki123, it is really kind of hysterical. It is such a compulsion with her, that anyone seeing her do this breaks out in hysterical laughter. Ya gotta see this. Maybe I will try to make a video. :-) |

| I definitely think you should take a video of it... I have the opposite problem with Khloe. She hates having her hair down and will rub her face all over the ground until I put her hair back up.

| Probably nothing more than a cute quirk, but have you made sure there's no skin irritation or condition she's fussing with? I used to raise Russian Dwarf hamsters and Chinchillas they will pull their hair over their face (as much as they can with short furr)-more like they "puffed" themselves out when they had gotten too many "warming foods" which is pretty much grains-do you feed with a food with corn or even brown rice? I wouldn't worry too much of it but I'd double check sounds like a lot of Yorkies do the same behavior-Elvis sticks his tongue just barely out of his mouth when he is relaxed-I thought it might be hurting him because it looks as though he's biting it but every time he's comfortable stretched out or falling asleep-just barely his lil tongue pokes through, it's pretty cute too. You could try a pup cut...short over the eyes. My mini schnauzer has massive (she's a mega coat) eye brows that grow right down over her eyes-she navigates just fine-even when running crazy ) |

| Sissy much prefers her hair in her eyes. She thinks she is tough.

| Shadow's hair is kept short, but after each and every time I brush/wash her face, she runs to the carpet to rub her face and mess her hair. Oh well. |

| Oh wow, I thought Tommy was the only one who does this. I took him to the groomers a couple weeks ago so now his hair is short. Now, I find him digging his face in the carpet to give him a more ruffled look. It's adorable..but I too thought it was crazy at first. |
