| He stopped about a year ago. He didn't do it as a baby. It was something he started doing about 3 or 4 years ago. I don't know why he stopped (or started). The only thing he has that's different, is the glucosamine/chondrotoin that he takes. I don't know if that made his poop taste different and he stopped. |

| Great thread & advice Megansmomma, I will be buying pineapple chunks asap. I hope it will deter her from this nasty habit. I hope I didn't scare her too badly when I caught her tonight. I tried to clean her face off with a piece of paper that was wet *sigh* slaps her hand, bad mommie! Will let you know if this works for her, if not, I'll increase the dose. I wonder if I could give her the freeze dried pineapple? I've found that eating dry food makes for dryer poop and wet canned food makes it be messy poop. |

| I hear that! Before this week (new routine), my entire time in the backyard with Max was "go potty, leave it, go potty, leave it."

| I don't have a yard, so I have to walk her. I always pick up her mess and she doesn't bother trying to eat her own. She likes strange poop! It's amazing how many people don't pick up after their dog. |

| Any advice on doggies that like "kitty candy?" Aka: cat poop. I make sure to keep the litterbox clean, but man. Rhia goes after it as soon as she gets to their house (where the cats live). I'm going to be bringing in a cat to my apartment and I would like to have his litterbox down, but I'm worried about her sneaking in for a GROSS snack.

| Yeah, I really didn't want to mention it, because as I have stated above, I try to keep a sense of humor about my little girl, Mylee's, gross habit. But, like others have mentioned, she stands and waits for Moka to do her business then she tries to eat it too. Sometimes, she doesn't even give Moka the respect to wait until she's finished. I kept thinking she would out grow this, but now that it is cold, she goes out in the yard, finds a frozen stash, then tries to carry it inside to consume. I have had it! I had tried pineapple once before, but I only gave it to Mylee. So, after reading this thread I decided to triy again, only I put it in both their food. I started Friday night, and by Sunday I have noticed she is not trying to eat her poop or Moka's. I hope she keeps this up. I guess pineapple will be a regular part of their diet from now on.

| Thank you Poop Guru for suggesting a protocol that would work for our Teddy Bumpkins. As you know, Daisy's vet said that spinach was the only thing we could add to her food without risking her health. I'm happy to report that it has happened.... a Christmas Miracle! Praise the Lord, Teddy is finding that he does not want the poop. I only hope this miracle continues. He has been a very challenging case but once again, you came through and saved the day. Thank you, and bless you, you are wonderful.

Good boy Teddy Bumpkins. I am so proud of you I knew you could do it. Keep up the good work. Teddy by far has been one of my most challenging cases and if he can kick the habit I know there is hope for so many others too. How are things going with Max and his new routine? When was the last time that he tried to have a snack?
