| Great post. Yes, I do. Bubba loves to look directly into my eyes. Sissy was a rescue and would not look directly at me or allow me to hold her close for a long time but I kept trying. I held her up, looked into her eyes (even though she was looking away most of the time at the start) and told her how much I loved her and that she was safe forever. That and getting down on the floor and crawling on my hands and knees. She finally got it. Now she will looking into my eyes and sleeps curled against me.

I am a firm believer that our furbabies know when you are sick and don't feel well or something is wrong. Mine don't leave my side when i am sick. I have both of them laying on me. We all are lucky to have such loving furbabies...they do have unconditional love!

| This thread reminds me of when I was little and used to watch Lassie and then have to go play with my dog, lol. At that time we had carian terriers. But I totally know what you mean. If people don't feel the way about their dogs the way we feel about ours the. They shouldn't have them. I hate people who have outside dogs, and I literally tell them about it. Even bunting dogs deserve to live inside and be loved, not locked in cages outside. IMHO. |

| I love when I'm relaxing in my recliner and all the dogs climb up into it I can't hardly move because of the various paws and noses, but wouldn't trade it for anything. It's my Calgon moment. |

| Oh yes, Fletcher has all the love in the world shining from his eyes when he looks at me. I love it. He's the sweetest puppy. Dexter is not as loving and his eyes don't speak to me like that, but when I pick him up, he curls into my neck and sighs like he is just so relieved, content so be there. Its really sweet. I told my boyfriend the other day that they are the best thing I ever did for myself. I really meant it.
