| Does she remember? My Roxie was a re-home from my brother's fiance. Obviously, since this woman is about to be a member of my family, we see her from time to time (on holidays and at family events, etc.). I was wondering if even after living with me for over a year, Roxie still gets confused when she sees her former owner. Does she remember that this person used to be her "mommy"? Does she think she will be going home with this person again? She always seems really happy to see her, but then again, Roxie loves people in general, so she is always excited to see people! What do you think?

| Of course, she remembers her. But, having said that, she knows where her home is now and who her mommy is. I doubt that she "wants" to go home with her. Does she try to follow her out the door when she leaves?

| I agree with her. Dogs are very smart. Although she likes everyone she knows where her home is and she will be right there with you when this other lady leaves.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I think they remember but like the others said they know who their mom is. When I use to take Nikki to the nursing home to see his former owner, he was happy to see her but kept a close eye on me to make sure I didn't leave him. He always seemed happy to be home.

| I agree. Levi still sees his foster mom from the rescue on occasion, and he is always excited to see her, but he does keep a close eye on me. They know who their mommies are!

| They remember !!! I got Max from my ex and he was very close to him. He was 1 yr old when I got him , he is now 3. He knows his old owner , but always came to me and stay very close, so that I won't leave without him. I'm ok with that he knows he has 2 very special people in his life. bark@ulater !!!!! manina, miley, max |
