All of my animals have always been rescues with the exception of Sophie and Scooter. I found out that Sadie is a puppy mill puppy and I am so glad that I got her out of there. I would never support a puppy mill and had no idea it was. I thought I was dealing with a breeder but I am not well educated on the whole thing. I am how ever, learning a lot as I go. Yesterday I took Sadie and Scooter to the vet. Jennifer, their vet who I love so much, told me I am doing a wonderful job with both of them. She is in love with Scooter, thinks he is the prettiest dog she has ever seen. When I first took Scooter there he was underweight and he had the dryest skin she had ever seen on a small puppy. She told me yesterday that he has a beautiful coat and she was very proud of me and asked me what I was doing. I told her I put fish oil in his food and bath him in oatmeal.... she approved. She said that Sadie is underweight and I knew that, Sadie and Scooter both weigh 7lbs. 4 oz. and Sadie is 8 months old now and Scooter will be 4 months old on the 27th. I think that no matter where you get your baby from there is always the possibility that something could be wrong. I love rescues, this may sound stupid but I swear the animals know that you saved them. There is something different about a rescue and I just can not explain it. What ever you decide I wish you all the luck when you get your new furbaby.
