Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Why This is a question that has bugged me for years. Why do dogs LOVE sticking their heads out of a moving car window? Is it the air its self they like or is it the scents in the air that captivate them?

| I think it's the smells! This is Jackson's absolute FAVORITE thing to do... but he hates a blowdryer, he doesn't like me blowing on his face, or any other kind of air in his face. But again, he also likes when it's really windy outside and he just sticks his nose up in the air and takes all the smells in. Just remember, a dog's nose is literally 100x better than humans. When we're baking and can only smell "one" specific smell, the dogs can pick up every little ingredient that is baking.

| The scent. Their noses detect scents we never pick up on.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I know for a fact they can tell a differance in the smells in the air. When we're coming home from being on the road for a month or so Tuffy starts to get excited when we get about 2 miles from home. I just wonder what it is about wind blowing into their faces; he's one of those that really enjoy it. In fact, he loves motorcycle rides too

| Yeah, I definitely think they can smell home in the air. Couver starts getting excited to be home within 2 miles no matter what direction come from.
