| Help! Am I crazy? I have applied for an older yorkie from a rescue and I may be approved after my vet check tomorrow. She's a little girl from Arkansas, 6 years old, 5lbs and was found as a stray roaming the street. I found her on petfinder and she's being transported up her this weekend. They have done a through exam, she's spayed, teeth cleaned, vacinations updated and has been living in a foster home down there. I'm really scared now that I really may get her. Her name is Tinkerbelle, and is really cute and sad looking in a way! I already have RU 2 1/2 years and Bonnie only 8 months, along with my Bichon Snugs and Lab Mix Hope. We have a single family home, (8 rooms) and a fenced in yard, and the means to take care of them, but my husband thinks I'm crazy. I'm home alone all day and I am really feeling like this is what I would love to do. So, Help am I crazy to go through with this?

| You're not crazy. You have the time, the means, the love, and compassion to help care for her.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Since you said you have the time and means to take her on I think it is great. She sounds like she needs a loving home and you can provide one. Keep us posted.

| You're not crazy. I have two cats. I just added to my pack of 4 dogs. Brought in two older rescues bringing the total dogs to 6. I found the rescues on Petfinder as well. They are about 6yrs old. It is challenging, to say the least. I cannot begin to tell you how rewarding it is. This new little one will steal your heart. It takes awhile to integrate the new ones with the old ones. I'm still in the process of getting everyone used to the new arrangements. It isn't the easiest thing you'll ever do, but it most definitely one of the most wonderful. You'll ever regret it. You'll find that the bond you develop with this new furbaby is something special. Simply because of the circumstances. Congratulations!

| I also don't think you're crazy. My housemate and I are thinking about getting another yorkie. We have 4 dogs, 15 cats between us, 12 cockatiels, and 2 guinea pigs. We have a private home with a large fenced in yard. I'm retired and I'm home all day to take care of them. I also have the means to give them the best of everything. Of course my friends and family think we're out of our minds but who cares. |
