| The ADOPTION went through! I have a new baby! Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie | St. Paris, OH | Totto. This is my favorite boy! His name is Totto, but after further review I have renamed him Tommy. He's very sweet and I know in time he'll grow to love me as much as I love him. I got him November 7th. I originally had my heart set on him and only him. The woman at the rescue also offered me a chance to take a 3 month old rescue instead..but I wanted Totto/Tommy. I felt like he has had a hard enough life as it is, and he needs more lovings! Got him home, bathed him 3x and I still think he's a bit dirty. Yesterday, I took him to the vet. He's up on all his shots. We did a heartwork, and some liquid that goes between his shoulder blades. He doesn't like loud or sudden noises. He'll come to my hand and allow me to pet him too. He eats, drinks, and sleeps with no problem. The woman at the rescue encouraged me to take him out to potty every 1-2hr so he could get used to the surroundings, but I take him out every 2-4hr and he does just fine. He has yet to potty (knocks on wood) in my home. Here are some pics of him. We're going back next week to the Vet. They have a groomer in there. I'm looking forward to it! Oh yeah, his stats: Male Between ages of 5-7 Weight at 9lbs eta: excuse the crappy camera phone pics! |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Well, I think it's wonderful of you to adopt a grown dog. I wonder why a rescue org would encourage you to take a puppy instead? I thought it was much easier to place a puppy - no? May your Tommy and you have many happy years together! |

She has turned down others who wanted the pups, because she didn't think they'd be a good fit. She told me I "passed her stringent testing' She's a very nice lady!

I like him alot. He's coming along great! He comes out to allow me to touch him if I hold my hand out. It's a start and that makes me happy. Having him is helping me regain my patience.
