Allow a dog to use a potty pad IN MY HOUSE! |

I'm so glad I came across it when I was researching Yorkies. Lots of info, lots of nice people and lots of laughs. The crappy part is, when you haven't got your dog yet, you start pining for one and torturing yourself looking at all the pics. |

I was at my mum's and was walking around soothing him in my arms cos he was sleepy and not really even realizing what I was doing. I believe it was my sister who said oh my god that's too cute. |
Hmmm...there are SOOOO many things, but here is my top 10 list: 1-Putting boots on a dogs because it was snowing. 2-Put a rain coat on a dog. 3-Expressing anal glands (still not a fan) 4-Excited over poop (when sick) 5-Excitement over food eating (when sick) 6-Doing a wash/massage of a doggie bootie (Meadow-see album about her sphincter) 7-Getting up in the middle of the night and rushing to an ER vet due to shaking and vomitting (of a dog). 8-Getting on my hands and knees and smelling the liquid on the kitchen floor to see if it was pee or a melted ice cube. 9-Buying only dog approved yard treatment 10-Fretting over vacation, work schedule, date nights with my beautiful wife, all around the kids schedule....(we don't have human kids--yet, but one is on the way!) One more combo: Collecting poop samples, trying to get a urine sample and stick a tray under them while potty. :) |
[QUOTE=Fizz;3322156]I saw that pumpkin and must say it was exceptional! It was one of the photos I really admired. This is the first Halloween that I didn't dress up because I was too busy orchestrating a matching costume for my fur kid and Fizz and...spending a whole day sewing a banana hat when I DON'T EVEN SEW!!! I do many of the things above and Fizz also loves playing chase and hide and seek. I once popped her out from under my pajama top and said the delivery was a breeze! :p Great thread.[ Thanks! I have to tell you, I think your avatar picture of Fizz is just about the cutest picture I've ever seen! I love this thread! I really needed it. Since Halloween I've had so m:Dany people in my life tease me about my obsession with Beemer and Sadie. You guys help me realize I'm normal ha ha! |
Salazark I think you just found a group as crazy as you. I swore he's never sleep in my bed or be allowed on the furniture. My social life suffers a little because if he can't come I'm not going. Before I was never home, now I'm hardly ever out. I've gone dancing a few times but left early to come home to him and I didn't stay out all night at new year and get drunk because I wanted to be able to get up for his pee pee's in the morning and if I got drunk I might stomp on him |
i used to hate it when people did all these cutsie things but i'm sold into it now. I'm guilty too .lol love this thread. |
Oh , yes all of these things I swore I'd never do ......well look at me now, she's sleeping in the bed and on my side. I have moved to the middle which hubby doesn't mind at all:D Can really relate to morning potty before I do:eek: She thinks she's human , maybe because I treat her that way:D |
I love all these responses! Most of which I do! Here's my top ones Take more pictures of my yorkies than my human kids. Not care if my son (23 years old ) says I'm moving out if you get one more dog! Hold a little guy over a nebulizor for treatments for pnemonia Give an injection to my little guy. Wake up on demand to pick my little girl up in bed because she refuses to use the stairs. Sit and watch the "Rutgers" football game and sing the RU song with my little RU (Named after Rutgers University) Hold my little furbabies like babies in practice for Human Grandchildren. and as said before I could go on and on! |

I had that kind of moment. I was, excuse me, WE were at bf's house visiting. They have a mean pack of 5 little dogs. Sometimes the mom of them all is nice to Kaji. I was saying "hello" to bf's mom and sister, and Kaji wanted to say hello to the mom dog. She was really mean to him, barking and lunging in his face. Kaji ran to me and asked to be picked up. I immediately reach for him like you would a toddler and put him on my hip like you do a little kid. I whispered in his ear, "don't worry, I'll protect you" and Kaji put his head on my shoulder. I didn't realize what I was doing until I saw bf's mom and sisters faces. They both shrieked and said, "how cute! he's like a little person!!!" My dad just pointed another one out to me. I went out of my way to buy Kaji a cake for his birthday. I also got one for Missy's birthday party. I love my munchkins!! (even though one isn't technically mine. :D) |
I LOVE this thread! It makes me so happy to realize I am not the only crazy person that is head over heels in love with their dog! I never thought I would be the psycho lady at the vets office bawling over a simple procedure! AND I never thought I would worry so much about my dog getting stolen by a human OR an animal (we live in the woods so coyotes or even hawks are a serious possibility). |
Oh and the clothes thing is out of control. I cant even admit to how many outfits Zoe actually has, I seriously think it is over 100. Not to mention all her other stuff she HAS to have :) |
Wow, I really didn't know that many of us got excited about poo!:D It's just such a relief to know everything inside is working well. I used to see people with 2 or 3 dogs and wonder, "Why in the world... who in the world would want more than one dog?" Well, I retire in June, and we are getting Yorkie #2, if we can wait that long! |

When I first joined here I was a stauch NO CLOTHES on a dog person. Guess who just order 170.00 worth to add to the already ridiculous wardrobe we already have??? |
I just love this thread... Things I never thought I would do - Getting addicted to YorkieTalk - Going to dog shows and loving every minute of it - Making human friends over the computer, then meeting them later (in person) with their Yorkies - Celebrating my girls' birthdays Of course, this list could go on and on. ;) |
