Have not gone to get him yet, just checking my mail. I'm an artist and own an art business.
One thing about Buddy is, he's only 6 weeks old today. His mother started to run into big medical problems and could not nurse any longer, vets orders. But she was a good mom and snuggled lots with them. They began eating with supplements quite awhile ago.
Then the gal that I'm getting him from had some more of her own heart problems, so I took Momma and all 5 puppies for 3 days so she could be in the hospital. (It was great for getting to know and pick out my puppy, but scary for my friend who was in the hospital. She's not even 50 yet.) I said she's my friend, but we knew each other a little in high school and now we're getting to know each other on facebook. It's a long story that I'm gonna blog about and if you're a Yorkie lover you might be crying with me...if you'd like to read a little of it and about me, (but it doesn't include the Yorkie part), it's at crescendoh.com I am the 3rd artist down. Jenny Doh, of Somerset Studio and Stampington magazines had asked me to write a piece. When I write about my Yorkie on here you'll see why this is such a BIG day for me...

I'm also a moderator on a lung disease website, you'll see why in the story.

Anyway, so if you all have any advice on one so little and young, PLEASE share

I will be going to read it. I think your lil one will do just fine with you. That's very young, but you should have the housebreaking thing done sooner than most. I think you will be the best mom ever and I promise you will have the time of your life with this lil puppy.

Just keep some Nutrical for low blood sugar and make sure he eats and doesn't go too long overnight without eating. I always give a snack at night.

Thanks Taylorb and Karen. What is nutrical? Is it the gooey stuff in the tube? I'm going to buy that tomorrow. Thank you also for the heads up about feeding at night.
He's sleeping right now. We had a wonderful day

Yep! The gooey stuff in the tube. Karo syrup works, too. Nutrical is just easier. I bought some, but never needed it for Kacee. I did give her some for a few days just in case. The reason I mentioned about a snack in the late evening is that my last two yorkies couldn't go from the evening meal to morning without having an empty stomach and would throw up yellow bile. Never a problem as long as they got the late evening snackl. I hope your lil guy enjoys the cuddles he's going to get. I know he'll be dearly loved.
