| They ran out of food? Seriously? Give the dog a freaking hot dog or some meat!! Seriously, what is wrong with people? I am so tired of hearing about people get dogs and then not caring for them. Both my dogs came from neglect situations and I hate to think of what they had to endure before they came to live with me. Ugh. At least you're there offering advice. Good for you for speaking up!

| This really is one of those slap situations where you want to slap some sense into the person too dumb to feed a BABY dog. A BABY for pete's sake. Scares me to think people like this could have a child.

| How totally sad for the dog. Some people can be so stupid and insensitive. One thing of note, we have a diabetic black lab and the best thing to do for a dog that is suffering from low blood sugar is corn syrup rubbed on the gums. It is most quickly absorbed into the dog's system that way instead of having to go through the digestive path. We have seen our lab come around in a matter of minutes with this technique. |

most Friday morning my mom feeds her pugs two hot dogs because almost without fail she forgets to buy dog food on Thursday (i think she forgets what day it is) I kinda thought she was the only person in the world who thought about substituting hotdogs as a breakfast snack. (by the way im seeing about having her dog food delivered on Thursday afternoon)

| If you run out of food wouldn't it be common sense to make it rice and chicken? Or at least give it some PB and apples?? They're obviously not opposed to giving it human food if they're feeding GRAPES . This is ridiculous. Any chance they'd surrender it to you? |

| There are just too many really upsetting and sad posts on here today! What's going on? Would this person forget to feed their baby? There elderly mother? Maybe so! I wish there was somewhere to go where you could report abuse of animals before it got to bad! People just don't think about what a dog or cat can or cant have. I never knew that grapes were bad for dogs until I got RU, then I researched everything I could about little ones! I hope this little one makes out ok! So sad!

| Any news on the Maltipoo? Hope the little one made it and the "people" got some food for the poor thing! I couldn't get a post made yesterday as my words were not coming out constructive at all. Now that I can type without using prohibited words, I am wondering about the baby. My dachshund lived to be 17 1/2 yrs old. During the first 10 yrs, she had a diet of Alpo, Pedigree, Iams and Science Diet (and others). I thought I had moved up with the last two. I never even realized all of the dog foods available outside the grocery store & Walmart! But she lived a very long, healthy life, always a shiny coat and great teeth. I use the quality foods now with my yorkies but this kid can easily get by with some discount food -- much better than putting the poor thing through hypoglycemia, starvation, or death. You can feed so cheaply with these foods and there are loads of coupons online too. Maybe their mom could buy a large bag of kibble and donate it to the pup to get them going -- along with a sternly worded lecture about pet responsibility. If this happens again, I would not hesitate to call the authorities. ASPCA, Humane Society, anyone who would make a visit and put a scare into them at the least and take the dog from them at the best.

| Tell them to give the dog chicken and rice's until they get dogfood, many stores are open 24/7 so its not hard to get one little bag of dogfood!!! These people do propably don't care about theyr dog if they dont even go to the vet or buy dog food. Chicken and rice is my advise, until they get dogfood! and to not give her grapes.
