| Is this a chocolate colored Yorkie Baby Cassie delivered 4 babies this morning 2 boys and 2 girls, and they are not the normal color as in black and tan. They seem to have a cocoa color and the muzzle and legs are not a true tan. The nose is dark and not really pink. Here is a picture of one of the babies but they all look the same.

| If you go to about the middle of the page on this link, you can see a chocolate and read about them: Alex's Yorkie Care Frequently Asked Questions. Page 3.

| Thank you. I do understand that this is not standard and have bred this pair 3 times before and always had traditional colored babies. I have never seen a chocolate yorkie and was just wondering if this is what is considered a chocolate. I never thought I would get one let alone 4. I guess I will do more research on them.

| I really know nothing about chocolates, except what the link says. I would do some research on them as well as on this site. There have been people here who adopted chocolates. I forgot to say congrats on your new babies.

| Thank You kpstoybox. They seem to have a cocoa color like powdered hot cocoa. So maybe not light enough to be golden but definitely not black. I guess time will tell and when they get their eyes and ears open maybe the coat will change enough by then to know.

| You are correct...true chocolate puppies always have light brown nose and eye rims.
