| ![]() Aww. She will love to have a little playmate; but I agree with the others. Wait until she is a little more mature AND housetrained. For now, she can be the spoiled baby! Lucy didn't bark at all for the first few weeks she was home and we brought her home at 12 weeks. I thought she was just going to be a really quiet dog ~ boy, was I wrong! Once she found her voice, she loved to use it. So don't be surprised. I feed Lucy Wellness Limited Ingredient - mixed with a little Wellness canned chicken or various canned vegetables, etc. She seems to do well on it. My Westie eats Blue Bluffalo Wilderness Duck and he seems to do well on that. It's high protein; too much for Lucy who has some very mild liver issues.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() Okay for now, I'd stick with a good quality puppy kibble, quite simply because you have lots to do with a new pup, housebreaking, obedience training, buying all those wonderfull toys, your baby will need cold weather wear if you live in a cold climate, etc, etc, etc. But I home feed all my three. It is about as expensive as a high quality kibble, but I know exactly what goes in their food. It takes a bit of time to research and feel comfy with home feeding. In terms of adding another puppy, wait until you have your first one trained, maybe one year old or so. Also, as a more sobering thought, health conditions in Yorkies, can rear their head in the first year of ownership. I'm sure you know those, when you researched for your new puppy. If not take a look at www.ytca.org for health issues with yorkies, and or take a browse through our health forums. Enjoy that bundle of joy... and Welcome to Yorkie Talk
