| I take Sprocket everywhere, either riding on my arm (so he can see) or in his bag. I do a fair amount of shopping not buying just shopping, and in So Cal their are alot of malls close by! We shop everywhere. I tell people "he is my shopper". NOBODY says we can't come in. They think we might buy something. Although we do not do the food places like the restaurants or grocery stores. I do the walmart and target but in the bag. The only thing I am VERY cautious about is the parking lots, now I know this is silly but they are very dangerous and I see lots of people let their dogs down in the parking lots (I'm guilty too) and the cars are crazy, besides all the chemicals and stuff. So why not take your baby where your going, your baby is not loud, or whining, stinking or dirty, like those that are allowed, can be that is. Your baby is cute, clean, and quiet. We sit at the mall in the center court and eat even, there is a group, we visit, the guard stops by visits, goes on. NO BIG DEAL. Of course we have the cutest little dogs, so it's easy, and I am a crazy dog lady, my family says, and I don't care what anyone thinks, Sprocket deserves to be out and about too. Enjoy your baby!

| Normally I don't have a problem taking my boys in somewhere. I always ask if it's ok once I walk in because I don't want to get someone in trouble by breaking the rules. I've never tried taking them in anywhere that sells food since I know that's against the law. Also I know there are a few stores that have signs up saying "no pets allowed" such as the AT&T store. I asked them why and they said it's not really because of little dogs but they've had some big dogs come in that have caused problems so in order to avoid any arguments they ban all dogs. I also know in Arkansas it's against the law to take a dog into a hair salon however my stylist has told me it's ok on the weekend to bring mine with me because they only time they would get in trouble is if the state board came in for an inspection and they don't work on the weekend. |
