| I keep both of my Yorkies in long coat. One of them is silky and the other one is cotton. Every day after our walk they bring home all the leafs of the park with them. For an hour walk I need about one hour grooming. I get all the leafs with my hands then I brush them then I wash their legs. Cotton hair is a nightmare! It becomes tangled if you put clothes on or if you put a harness on, even with pj's! But I just love long hair. The only thing that helps I think is using a brush that I use for me. Not that metal dog combs or brushes. Look at the pic. On the left it's Milou with the silky coat and on the right it's Jean with the cotton coat. Can you see the difference? Maria |
