As far as the difference in breeds, I believe the temperment is very similiar and the main diff is the size. Like was said earlier there is no way you had a 3 1/2 pound silky, most likely a Yorkie just labled wrong. Heh, at least they didn't say Mastiff

Nope sorry I'm not Christie Brinkley!!! I do love Billy joel though and copycatted the name Alexa Rae which I loved. I've taken alot family heat over that name however. Her whole name is Alexa Rae Sandra Marchbanks. A little long I know but the Sandra is my mom's name. She died right before I became pregnant with Alexa Rae.

Otis and I were in a parking lot and some old rich lady drove up in a Mercedes with what looked like a Yorkie in the backseat.

She got out of her car, squealed when she saw Otis, and INSISTED Otis was a Silky. Apparently, she was some expert in Silkies. Her dog was a Silky and was actually smaller than Otis. She was quite annoying in her insistence that Otis was a Silky.

I kept telling her I bought Otis from a reputable breeder, his parents were show dogs, AKC, all that....but no. "YOU HAVE A SILKY," she kept telling me.
