| New puppy Just to let you know that my new puppy is coming on sunday and I have a name chosen. Lottie she looks so tiny , Alfie and I are so looking forward to her arrival. I hope to clicker train her as it has worked so well with Alfie, hope to try and get pictures downloaded but ,still cant figure out how this is done . If anyon has any advice on how to introduce the two of them I would be grateful I have bought a crate but have never used one and not sure if we should take Alfie with us to pick her up or wait till we get home for the introductions. Any advice? |

I know you are counting the hours and minutes until you can hold your new baby. I like to introduce my new baby to the gang on nutural terrority. Bet Alfie, would love the ride and experience of sniffing his new sister. Good luck with training a new one. Hugs, Little-Bit, Meggie, Tori, Cassie and Roscoe's Mom | |

| Please don't laugh, but I watched Oprah a while back and when she got two new puppies, her dog trainer had her introduce the new puppies to her older dog by letting the older dog sniff each puppy's bottom. She held the puppy up while she let the older dog sniff. Once the older dog seemed to be interested, then she put the puppy down and watched them sniff each other. Then she did it again with the other pup. She made sure to do this on her property, because dogs are different when they are not in their territory. This way, she was introducing the puppy into the territory but in a non threatening way. I hope this helps! |

| Yayyy! It's so much fun, but exhausting work having a new puppy! Be ready for a little jealousy for awhile from Alfie. Pippa had exactly 5 days of hurt feelings when we brought home Scout. I think the bootie sniffing idea is great!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Congratulations! When I got Cali a couple of months ago, I brought her in the back yard and ley my 8 yr old pom out to see her and then brought them in. So far both are still alive!! This was the first time I have crate trained and I do like it except I'm having a harder time getting Cali to go outside. She likes to use the wee wee pads |

| CONGRATULATIONS... on getting your new baby. I'm in the same position as you are .except i've already got my yorkie this past weekend. I, too have another dog and right now i'm having problem getting them to play together. My bichon just refused to even gets near him. everytime i try to put them face to face the yorkie would try to bite and the other one will bark and hide away. its kinda frastrated cus i have to take them out separtly. I even tried what Hugs suggested about letting them stuffed each other behind. Still doesnt work. My bichon just dont want anything to do with my yorkie. GoodLuck with yours. |
