| I live is Suffolk county and I am really thrilled. Especially after seeing this stupid kid riding his bike with his dog tide to the handlebar running beside him on a 90 degree day. Luckily a second later a police car came by and I told him what I saw. He went after the kid but I don't know what happened. |

| Let's hope other counties and states follow Suffolk County and do the same. These abusers need to be locked up and have the keys thrown away. The poor animals. |

| I live here in Suffolk also. I think that 5 years is too short. They should never be allowed to own pets again!!! I am proud to live in a place where animals matter!!!

| I live in Suffolk County too and hadn't heard about that law. I am proud to live in a county that has that law on the books. |

| This was just enacted yesterday. It just takes a beginning, hopefully the end will be with all states following.

| Suffolk Co "YAY" You must be proud I would be! Not only did I see your story here on YT but it made into the papers all the way out here in the end of the world CA . They have begun to wake up to the fact that you have to protect the "least of us", the elderly, the young, and now lets hear it for more protection for the other "least", animals. I am not very moderate in my views as to what should be done with people who abuse the least and helpless in our world. Come on Philadelphia, you booed Santa, get rid of your abuser.
