| I Can't Get Used To... ... Lizzy laying on the floor! She just got out of a little bed we have sitting on an ottoman and stretched out on the floor! What's with that? Well, I guess she wondered too, because she just went back to her little bed on the ottoman. What I don't understand is why, with all the dog beds I have in this room, plus a sofa, loveseat and two chairs, the floor? She regularly sleeps on the floor.

| I imagine she gets hot. When mine wants to really sleep, she'll get under a bed.

| Patrón refuses to sleep on the floor. He currently is curled up in my extra eggshaped chair. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have one on the bed and 3 on the floor. All of their beds are on mine but they spend most of the time on the floor.

| Mine are always on the floor, except lately, as it's cooling down here at night, they go back to bed-seeking!

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Both of my dogs do this. They will start off sleeping in there bed and then get out and lie on the floor next to it, I assume they get too hot.

That is my Italian Greyhounds, in fact, they expect us to get up and hold the blankets up so they can crawl under, but not Lizzy. I'm use to it now, but at first, I just thought it wasn't right. I also thought maybe one of her first two owners didn't allow her on the furniture or have beds for her, but maybe not.

| Levi loves to lay on the floor as well. He will occasionally sleep on one of his dog beds or curl up on a blanket in the floor, but for some reason, he really does just like to lay on the floor. If I am sleeping in my bed, he loves to lay there with me...but otherwise, he just prefers the floor. So Lizzy's definitely not alone in her strange habit

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | yep mine do it too. they spread out like a rug. it's so cute. i'd imagine most dogs would have a hard time doing this, but manolos been doing it since she was a pup. i suppose my other yorkie learned it from her, my maltese never did such a thing. i have a marble floor downstairs so they really like laying out on it to cool off.
