Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I think that when I finally can retire if I'm in good health, I would like to foster dogs. Yes, it would be hard to let them go because I do get attached, but I think it would be ok if I knew they were going to good homes. Until then, all I can do is support rescues with a little cash now and then. I think I will give up Starbucks and send that money to rescue organizations. I don't need all those calories, anyhow. |

| ![]() Clover has arrived ![]() She is so adorable. She allowed me to brush and comb her - and when Beamer's groomer came she put a bow in her hair for me, which she seems to be Ok with. Her and Reno are getting on fine - she came from the same puppy mill seizure so it is possible they were kept in the same cage. They are playing together - but Clover keeps trying to mount Reno ![]() Beamer is not so sure of her yet, and he doesn't like her getting near me, he growls at her to warn her away. And when Sue was grooming him he was always trying to keep an eye on Reno and Clover. He will get used to her, took him a few days to accept Reno so I am not concerned. I took a couple of pics of her.

| ![]() I added a couple of pics of her in her album on my profile page - I found her sleeping on the bed! Question - someone in this thread suggested she could be a red-legged Yorkie. Her coat is coarse, not cottony or silky (her eyes shine green though, like a silky coat would) Do red legged yorkies have coarse coats? If not it may have been lack of care, and I can make sure it gets really conditioned. (Would condition anyway, but wondered if it would make a difference)

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I think her coloring looks alot like Baxter's (pic attached) more of a golden red, than the gold yorkies usually have. His coat feels "harder" than the other 2, meaning it is stiffer, and it tends to grow slower, which is ok with me! I feel the other 2 could go without conditioner (they don't), but their coats are that soft. Baxter needs conditioner! His eyes shine green, too. I have always wondered if he was a red-legged Yorkie. |

| ![]() Thanks Amy ![]() Yes, that is what I meant about her coat. It is "stiffer" Wasn't sure if it was because of not being looked after properly or if it was that way naturally. I know she was bathed on Sunday, but have no idea what was used to bathe her. She is a beautiful red colour.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() The conditioner is going to give her a temporary softness, but her coat is just going to be naturally different in texture. I like Petsilk conditioner for Baxter, but I am sure others will have recommendations for you too. The one thing good is that I have never had a mat or tangle in Baxter's coat, and in my opinion, he is beautiful, just like Clover. |
