Puppia step harnesses? Any advice! Hi - Mabel's ferret harness broke (right near a road) and I'm looking for a very secure harness with a clip instead of just velcro. I am leaning towards a Puppia step harness but would be interested in any other ideas. I don't like the skinny harnesses, but prefer a vest - too confusing on my little brain! I am going to try to make a temporary one as I don't live near a town that carries small enough ones. Mabel is 2lbs 12 oz and is 5 months. Would LOVE to hear from anyone with a suggestion! Thanks in advance!

I personally prefer the skinnier harnesses like the ones chattiesmom makes and find them super secure... however, if you like the vest style harnesses puppia's are well made and secure. I found the solid color ones had more padding on them and therefore seemed more comfortable for the dog, the ones with designs are slightly different material and therefore offer less padding. There is another brand called "puppyone" that are identical to puppias but slightly cheaper... these also have the added padding, I had one for my dog just because I liked the offered colors better. I did notice the puppias caused a lot more hair matting than other harnesses, so beware of that and make sure you brush your baby out a lot between wearings. Good Luck!

i LOVE the puppia harnesses. My pups have had them forever They are in a small now and are almost 5 and almost 6 pounds. XS should fit your baby perfectly They have a vest and a "regular" harness (idk what to call it). We have the regular one, but I'd assume the vest is just as good.
