Eating poop is natural -- they usually give it up eventually but if it really disgusts you add a little meat tenderizer to their food. JMO but I believe they eat undigested food -- I notice if I feed carrots or something that you can see when they poop it out -- someone gobbles us the poop. My 3 have stopped this habit but I noticed when I added that Iams gravy to their food -- they were outside gobbling it up.

I tried Deter with Dublin and either it worked or he grew out of it... :rolleyes:

One of my other dogs liked poo, and I tried meat tenderizer and pineapple to no avail. EWWWW!!

My girlfriend lives on a pond, and has two goldens that are into the goose poo all the time...

She calls it 'goose pate' !!

Susan will do this if allowed. She also eats rabbit poop. There's an AMAZING amount of rabbit poop in the yard. I would never have noticed it in a million years, but they have favorite little places they like to leave piles. I guess Susan has found them all. When I told my husband all he said was, "That's great! Don't let her eat it. The soil out here needs the organic matter."

charcoal buscuits You can usually get them at a pet store not sure exactly what is in them but I have heard they really work. My friend uses them and she said that her dog isn't eating her poop anymore.

I have read the same thing. The food is not properly digested and the dogs will eat it.

At least I'm not alone. I would pay money to have a photo of you putting hot sauce on goose poop. I'd sell it to the Enquirer and make a fortune!

Just kidding. I've actually thought of spraying them with green apple, but there are hundreds and hundreds of them in the park I take him too. And even thought they are now frozen, he STILL digs down and eats them like popsicles. It's a big game when I chase him.

Yup, Isabella eats the poopie also!! I asked the Vet about it, he said he could give something to put in her food. Well that means all 3 would have to eat it cause she eats poop, not just hers. Well I'm thinking the Iams gravy also. I stopped the Iams gravy a week ago & noticed she hasn't been eating poop lately. I don't know all I know is that it is gross!! Disgusting!!!! I hope I am right & she stopped.
