| Cottony Coats I'm new to this. I was just wanting to know or look at some pictures of Yorkies with a cotton coat. I have a 5 month old female and her coat sticks out and hard to get to lay down. |

| My Sophie will have a cottony coat. I know this b/c her eyes flash red in light or when you take a picture with a flash. She is 7 months now. These are the only pictures I have of her right now. Her coat is thick.

| Miss Sophie is cute in her little dress. Tia has the same coat and just turned 8 months. Very different from Ally, who has the silky coat. Tia's doesn't seem to tangle but Ally has a big problem with mats/tangles. The cotton coat appears to make them weigh at least two pounds more!!! People think they are totally different dogs or Tia is a mix, but I know different. This is a pic taken around the 4th of July. |

| Khloe has a cottony coat and it tangles very easily. It is very thick and makes her look a lot larger than she really is. In these pictures, she is 3.5-4 pounds, but looks much larger. I cut her hair this summer... so these are all before her cut. I miss her hair 1. Khloe (darker) next to her silky coated brother Couver 2. Khloe taking a walk 3. From the back

| Cottony Coat Thank you all for the pictures. I now know that she has a cotton coat. You are all so great. I have another Yorkie that is a silky hair. I don't know if you have seen the pictures of her. Her name is Tara. Thanks again. |

| I have pics of both Beamer and Lil Bit in my albums. Beamer is 2 years old and he has a silky coat, Lil Bit is around 8 years old and has the cottony coat. We have been keeping Lil Bit shaved down as she does mat easily, but it has grown some since we last shaved her down, and the picture I uploaded to the album today (was taken last month) is the length we are going to keep her -as I think it looks cute, like a little teddy bear

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Roxie 1st pic has a cottony coat but with the right shampoo and conditioner she can look pretty good. Pixie (2nd pic) has a silky coat.

| You know, I kept hearing that the cotton coat tangles easy, but Tia's is so soft and hardly ever tangles or mats. Do you think it's because she is just 8 months? She looks like all the other cotton coats here. Ally tangles anytime I put clothes on her...even hours after I've combed her too. I don't know what I'm going to do this winter (shave in winter/grow long in summer....odd)! I love Ally's hair and can't wait for Tia's to grow more. |
