| Ball Game I wanted to teach Poppy to run after the ball and return it when we started on our walks. I have bought some TINY sized tennis balls from pets a home and she loves playing with them around the house on her own. Anyway her walks are starting off slow as she dont like walking on them haha. Anyway tonight she had a 5min fit running around my house in hyper mode so i picked up her tennis ball and took her into the kitchen and started rolling it across the kitchen floor. At first she didnt get it and looked at me strange but when i rolled it in her direction she ran after it and picked it up in her mouth i was so pleased i showered her with affection and she was so proud of her self that when i rolled it again she ran after it. After 10mins i was rolling it right across the kitchen floor and she was getting tired running after it but loving it. I might have to work on the bring it back to me because i had to chase after her about 3 times when she ran off into the livingroom haha. I am sooo proud of her i cant wait to go outside and be able to play ball with her she is going to love it... not as much as me tho hehe xxxx

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | You will be more successful at getting her to bring the ball back to you if you don't chase her. Most effective tactic I've found is to walk away and let her chase you with the ball. Then praise her as soon as she comes near you. It sounds like you're really having fun with little Poppy! |

| Ally loves her little tennis balls and has chased/brought them back before she was 3 months old. She also loves for me to try to wrestle the ball out of her mouth. Tia picked up on chasing the ball and wants to wrestle with me, but hasn't learned to drop it/bring back to me. Ally will not chase them outside though. She will only do it inside. Good luck with your baby. I'm sure she'll get it and love it too! We love playing ball every night! |
