| Bedrails? As he's aged, Alexander has developed a tendency to walk right off the side of the bed. Ladymom had the terrific suggestion of installing bedrails. But, I need help finding just the right bedrail to help keep my kiddos from falling off of my kingsize bed. I have stained concrete flooring and I'm terrified Alex or one of my other babies will slip off and be injured. I found the perfect rail for the side of the bed that has their ramp on it. Now I need to find something for my side of the bed. I make trips to the bathroom throughout the night, so I need something that I can easily release and lower while I'm still in bed (sometimes I'm really in a hurry ). This pretty much rules out bedrails for babies/children. So, I'm thinking maybe a medical one? Are those made where the user can release them themselves? Oh, and I'm not very handy so I need to find something that's easy to assemble and install. I'd really appreciate any suggestions. I'm not concerned with the appearance, I just want to make the pups safer. Thanks! Bonny

| I can/will do that, but I'm hoping to save it as a last resort. Something I'll definitely keep in mind. Thanks!

| Here's the one I'm using on the other side of the bed. I now notice in the description that it's a "two-hand release design." It's the only one I've seen that says that. I wonder if that means the others can be lowered with only one hand? Sorry - obviously I don't have kids. Especially for Baby - 40x20 Bedrail - White - Babies R Us - Babies "R" Us

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I had bought it at Babies R Us, but I don't see it on their site anymore . Let me keep looking and see if I can find it someplace else.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | You could try calling a medical supply store and see what they have as far as safety rails. I know the bedrail I use wouldn't work if you had to use that side of the bed.

| The one I have is made by Evenflo and very easy to drop down. It only takes one hand to pull up on the center of the rail to release it and drop it down. I bought mine many years ago, though, and they don't seem to make it any more. |

| I haven't seen any medical ones that I like yet. They're either not long enough or the gaps are too big. I'm still looking though. Thanks Patti!

This one looks similar to the one I have. Kidco Convertible Crib Bed Rail : Target If you have a Target nearby maybe you could look at. Mine has "joints" that lock it in place. By pulling straight up, you lift it out of the joints and unlock it. It's very fast and easy. This is what mine looks like. | |

The one in this link is only sold online, but I really like the looks and sound of it. My concern is that it doesn't say if it'll fit a King size, and it's only 14" tall. All the ones that look like they'd work best for me only fit up to a queen size bed. Thanks for finding that one for me!

| Could you add mesh to one that has gaps or maybe only put a rail on the bottom of the bed but not the the top wear you are i would imagine(i could be wrong) that your body would work as a blocker in the night

| I use body pillows (I think that is what they are called, they are long pillows) on my side of the bed to make sure I don't know Sophie Kate off when I am tossing and turning. I just have two that I line up right on the edge - they seem to stay and she likes to get right between me and the pillows.
