Hair won't grow. 1 Attachment(s) I have two 6 month old Yorkies from the same litter. The little girl named Bacci is a little over 3 pounds and Coco, the boy, is a little over 5. They are both healthy but Bacci's hair has not grown much since birth even though Coco's hair is growing normally. Their parents are registered and purebred. I met the breeder right after the puppies were born and everything seems normal. We'd really like Bacci's hair to grow but is this a genetic issue or can we do something about it? Any suggestions would be great! Thank you! |
But oh so very cute!!! I try to brush and and groom on Mia, and well she looks like a greasy mop if I don't stay with it at least 2 times throughout the day. |
yes - very cute, indeed. As you can see - all dogs are different - even though they have come from the same litter. Its mostly genetics but also a good premium dogfood will sure do wonders. |
Do a search on red leg yorkies on here. thats what he looks like to me and their hair doesnt grow as long as a regular yorkie. He is a cutie though and Im sure you love him just the same |
My Minnie Mia's coat is a lot thinner than my other two yorkies. I'm not really concerned about it because I have seen yorkie puppies with thin coats mature to a nice silky coat. In fact, if you read this info, you will see that can be the case. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...rt-thread.html Bacci is gorgeous BTW.:) |
