| Red leg? I was thinking of maybe taking a redleg yorkie, but I can't find any info on them. Does anyone have a picture of one grown? How will their coat look? Do they even look like a yorkie?

| Look at the ad "Yorkies TN". There is a red legged baby on that ad. Read the posts and it explains what being a red leg Yorkie is. |

| I read it but I still don't know what the coat will look like. I wonder if it will have any length at all to it. I would love to see a picture of one.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Here is what a redleg looks like. Their hair is shorter and more coarser in texture. It is believe that you breed to a redleg in order to get the correct colors (truer and deeper) back into your lines. http://yorkiepassion.com/hedy.htm

| I think they will look like a Yorkie, but never have the long coat. So if you really like the long hair I would pass on a red leg, but if you are going to keep it in a short puppy cut all the time then you might consider one. |

| So when you say the puppy cut is it long enough to put bows in their hair(I know a silly question, but I love the bows.)

| I didn't see the site you attached at first I just did. I can tell the coat isn't very long at all. Thanks for your help, I will probably pass on it because I like a little more length than that.

| Kimberly has one..Hannah's pic is on her website www.yorkiepassion.com we are trying to decide whether or not Ber has been throwing them in my litters. Pretty sure Emma is one and thinking that Tini may be another, though she does have coat, her coloring is very deep.

I am hopeful I can finally test this red leg theory...I have bred Hannah to Buster and should know in about a week or so if we were successful. I have been so wanting to see first hand what others have talked about that a red leg can deepen the gold and clarify.

| After reading this thread I think I have a red legged yorkie. Can anyone tell by the pic below. He really doesn't have hair on his legs. It doesn't bother me because I am always going to keep him short and most importantly I LOVE HIM! Would you agree he is a red legged yorkie? |

| In my opinion he could just be a slow grower...he looks like silk, is he young?
