| Yorkie Hiccups? Has anyone else's Yorkie had chronic hiccups? My little one has had them all day, and has also had this gagging reflex off and on. I'm always in a state of panic when my nerves are bad, and her vet's office closed at 12. Sorry to be so graphic, btw. What could be causing this?

| I wouldn't be concerned if she didn't have the gagging reflex thing off and on with them. Oh joy, she just threw up beside me. I'm worried now. I slept a lot yesterday because I've been sick, and I woke up to find my toilet paper roll beside of the couch was chewed into a billion pieces and spread across the living room floor. Of course, she gets ill on a Sat., just like me and the kids....

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Could she have some toilet paper or her hair stuck down her throat. I would check the corners of her mouth and also give her something soft to see if that will clear her throat. I use caned food or a little piece of bread. Mine have had the hiccups, but only for short periods of time. I hope she feels better soon.

| My yorkie always has the hiccups. However, I noticed this happens when she is stressed. We had family over that ADORED her and kept picking her up. She was hiccupping and I felt her little belly, it was engorged. When I put her in her playpen and banned people from picking her up the hiccuping stopped. Try that. It might help. |
