It's a day of mixed emotions for us as Daisy turned 10 years old today. I call her my miracle dog and for good reason.

Daisy is a puppy mill dog - a dog with the deck stacked against her. She steals the heart of all who meet her and is the sweetest dog I've ever met. You would never know how sick she is or the lifelong battles she's faced. She is a dog I did not want to take home, a dog I did not want to bond with, and a dog that I can look in the face 10 years later and say that I am a better person because of you, my little Daisy.

Happy Birthday to my little sweetheart. I never thought you'd make it to a year when we brought you home, I hoped you'd make it to 5 and here you are bouncing around like a puppy at age 10 years. You represent hope and love and are the sunshine in my day. I hope to share many more years with you.
