| Advice on how to introduce a new dog! So my BFF's sister lives in North Carolina and Last weekend she came to visit with her puppy Marshmellow who is 7 mos (Maltese) her car wasmessed up so she took a ride with someone else now she was checking online and realized that she needs the puppy vaccines to get the ticket which she forgot back home b/c she thought she was going back in a car. Now she is going to leave and needs someone to watch her baby for about a week or two, AND she wont leave it with her mother who has a big yorkie but is not as careful as most are with their furbabies. So the question is I already said yes to watching him but now im getting worried what if Marshy and Edward dont get along? how can I take precautions so that the stay is the best it can be. I kind of think Edwatd will be happy to have a companion to play with for awhile but never have done this before so i dont know what will actually happen. The good thing is that they are both about the same size and I will be able to give lots of supervision. S o what does everyone think?

| Is Marshy a male or female? If both are puppies - you probably won't have to worry too much. I'd introduce them on neutral territory if possible and if not possible, then in your yard where there is lots of space. Try not to introduce them in a tight, confined area. Pick up any high value treats or toys so there won't be any squabbling over them right away. Pick up Edward's food bowl so he won't feel like he has to guard it. Cross your fingers and have fun watching them play!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I don't think you will have any problems. Just watch them to make sure they get along. Just give Edward extra attention so he doesn't get jealous. If Marshy is a female and not spayed and Edward is not neutered you will need to be extra careful that she (if Marsh is a she) doesn't come into heat.
