Last time we were at Petsmart someone asked me if Cooper was a sheepdog/chihuahua mix How ridiculous.

Sometimes I feel certain people like that have been living under a rock their entire life and when they come out and say crap like that I just want to take that rock and smack them upside the head! Who do they think they are???? I just wish some people would watch what they say!

Do not let it bother you one more second. Too bad you did not pull out your cell phone and ask her to pose a certain way so you could take and share her picture with family and friends. Good thing you did not lay 5 on her head!

Oh my gosh, Sienna is the cutest! I'm sorry her feelings got hurt, can you please tell her she's a gorgeous little diva and I just want to pick her up and kiss her all over. As for the dear lady you should have reaplied, you're one of the weirdest people I ever met can I take a picture of you to show my husband, family friends and everyone I know.

That being said I also have to say that I also agree with what Jodi says in her attached quote.
Playing devils' advocate a bit here but PERHAPS the woman believes the same way that to breed mixes intentionally really does increase the dog poulation unneccessarily. Top notch breeders just don't do it; they want to improve on a breeds line.
I have learned SO much here at YT in the short year I've been here; so much so that 2 years ago I looked at buying a mixed breed, today I would not do that.

Enjoy your baby & all the love you get from both of your dogs; let the negative fall off you like rain. You'll be a lot happier momma that way

I'm going to say something that might make upset you but here goes...........

I do not believe in mixing dogs to make puppies to sell EVER. That is not breeding for the betterment of the breed and only for making money.


Let me add.......

I have 2 yorkie/maltese mixes that are both rescues. They are IMHO beautiful and I love them just the same as if they were pure bred. I'd be very upset if some moron came up to me and told me that they were weird or ugly looking. At the same time I would never purchase a mixed breed puppy from a breeder. But this was not always my opinion, it has been learned over time with my experience with rescue and YT. Not that many years ago I would have purchased a puppy from a greeder. But my exposure and education has taught me that there are NO REPUTABLE breeders that will mix breeds to make puppies. There are way too many poorly bred dogs being sold for nothing other than greed to justify mixing of breeds. Plus the many more that are PTS daily in shelters all over this country.

Finally.......

I also have a AKC 12 lb Yorkie that people have commented that she is NOT a Yorkie. It is mean and hurtful when it is said to someone about a baby that they love. She was purchased from a "breeder" by a friend and she IS poorly bred and not bred for fun and profit.

I think your baby is just gorgeous! And actually when I looked at the photo she appears to be full yorkie to me or at least really close! I purchased Roxie from a backyard breeder (didnt know better) and paid good money for her , but sometimes I have my doubts that she is full blooded, but I dont care, I love her regardless, and besides some people are just idoits anyways. You were much nicer than I would have been by the way, but that just shows that you have class.
