oh yeah the pitbull returned, we think the neighbors two doors over used to own her and left her when they moved.. either way she turned out to be friendly although I wasnt going to risk my baby on it but we called the sheriff, he called the animal control, they came and picked her up and Nala watched from the comfort of mommys arms

thank you.. she's something else.. I was worried sick because she wasnt eating, drinking, peeing or pooping, just wanted to sit under me.. I finally got her to eat a little, I syringe fed her water, gave her a very little honey.. I still have seen no sign of pee or poop but I am hoping I just missed it...

Congratulations! I just snuggled into bed with Taycie and I HAD to check to see if there were pictures! I am so excited for you! She is so beautiful! I am so happy for you! What a sweet baby girl!!! Good luck tonight! I think our first night we slept 4 1/2 hours... but when you wake up to that sweet face you can't help but smile!!!!!!!!! there is nothing more exciting then bringing your new sweet baby home!

My puppy didn't eat for about a day and a half when I took him home. It's very traumatic when a dog comes to a new home. Don't worry she'll start eating as soon as she settles down.

Very much so.

It took 3 days for me to get Lula-mae to eat when I first brought her home. I was a wreck! After boiling chicken and trying my hardest to get her to eat, out of pure frustration I threw a peice of chicken at her and the little bratt ate it! It was like a game.

I was so happy. Eventually she started eating real dog food and every time she ate I praised her up and down.

Now, she "shows off" by eating. Everytime someone comes over she shows them how good she is and runs to her bowl to eat her kibble.

Be careful is she is a tiny one like my little girl. Lula-mae was 1 pound when I brought her home and started to look lethargic on the second day. I fed her sugar water a couple times afraid she had low blood sugar.

Most importantly, talk to your vet. knowing your a new mom I'm sure they will tell you everything you need to know about your baby.

today was much better for Nala.. she slept through the night.. well idk if she was sleep but no whining.. thank God.. we got up this morning at 7 and went straight outside, she pooped! I was ecstatic (who would have ever thought Id get excited about poop. anyways brought her back inside and she still wouldnt really eat.. so I read on here that if you sprinkle just a tad of parmesan that may help sure enough I did and she immediately start eating.. still no drinking on her own so I gave her a little sugar water.. I had to go to work for 9 hours today but my mom was here to see about her.. she took her outside and she drank and ate on her own and pooped again.. mom said she had a good day.. I got home at 7 and gave her a little more to eat and drink.. took her back outside and she pooped again.. she's in her bed now but I think we are going to do one more bathroom break before bed. no accidents in the crate so far she peed in the kitchen once but it was my fault because I wasnt watching her while she was eating. Its been a great day and I LOVE her sooo very much already..

I'm so happy to hear she is doing well. Don't blame her or yourself for having any accidents. She's so young and you are both so new at this. Sounds like everyone is doing well. It's amazing how quickly we fall in love with these precious pets.
