I was just wondering how moderators get choosen and do they volunteer their services? Is there a moderator on 24/7? I really give them a great deal of credit.

We get chosen following a *TON* of monetary bribery . No really, I can't say how Admin's choices are made, exactly, bc I'm not admin.

I can tell you that we volunteer all of our time - it's really for the love of yorkies and the love of the YT community. There is no requirement, in terms of when or how much, a Mod is here - but YT is monitored pretty much all of the time. Some of the "monitoring" is done by the members too - bc members help us keep an eye on things. If/when members see something awry, they can hit the "report" button, and an email instantly goes out to Admin and to the Mods, so someone tries to take a look at those situations ASAP.

Thanks for your comment . We all do our best...it doesn't always please all 65,000 of us at once (), but we do try our best.

Moderators do volunteer their service. They have jobs and families just like us "regular" people , so they can't monitor YT 24/7, but I agree that they do an awesome job!

Sorry, I don't know how they're selected but that's a good question.
