| First Post - New Yorkie Mom Hello! I am a new yorkie mom to a 14-week old male named Riley. I got him 4-weeks ago. We have been having a blast. I live and work in DC so I am able to run home and spend lunch with him. I live diagonal from a park so I take him over there morning, lunch and after work. Today he discovered a pigeon. It was too Cute. The look on his face when he got close and it took off flying. He has been really good. He started using the weewee pads as of day 2...... We went to a puppy play this past Saturday where there were only 2 other "Big" puppies. A Golden and a Doberman/Mix. The Golden was great...but the Doberman/Mix was very aggressive and did a Major nip at him 2-times. Luckily he only got his hair. I don't think we will be going back there!! We are going to a different one this coming Sunday. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and I look forward to visiting Yorkietalk!! |

| Welcome aboard! Hope you find some good meet up groups for Riley in DC. I agree you should avoid the big dogs unless their owners can really vouch for their behavoir... Not worth the risk. NOVA Yorkies would be a bit of a drive, but Riley would be very popular! The NOVA Yorkies and Friends! (Centreville, VA) - Meetup.com |
